Dear SpeakOut! user
We, the undersigned, urge Longmont Mayor and City Council members to protect Longmont’s important and sensitive current and future Open Space areas from the intrusion of damaging urban development. I support that it is premature and undesirable to designate a fixed land use for zoning of this proposed annexation prior to full design of flood plain improvements, along with other important environmental and wildlife analyses.
I also believe that the access points shown for this development along Boston Ave. are undesirable for its significant traffic volume due to proximity to the Sunset St. intersection, offsets from existing business access points, and need to create easements through existing industrial properties.
