Longmont City Council Meeting
Stand With Our St. Vrain Creek will be speaking in front of City Council on Tuesday, April 3rd regarding protections for St. Vrain Creek and other City Open Space properties and riparian areas. Please come to the meeting wearing green to show your support for our natural areas and wildlife. You can also sign up to speak at public invited to be heard. Comments are limited to 3 minutes max.

Residents living along Left Hand Creek within Longmont are invited to an open house to review and offer input on newly issued draft floodplain maps from the Colorado Hazard Mapping Program (CHAMP) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The Longmont Sustainability Coalition will be meeting on May 1st from 5 to 7pm to discuss the Sustainability Evaluation System, a tool designed to better incorporate sustainable practices into City plans, projects, and programs. The meeting will be held at the Longmont Public Library.

CANCELLED Board of Adjustments Public Hearing on Martin Marietta Materials Inc. Permit SU-96-18
In 1998, Boulder County approved a special use permit to allow gravel mining on 881 acres of property owned by Western Mobile in the St. Vrain River Valley east of Lyons. In 2011, the land was sold to Martin Marietta Materials Inc., which is now seeking to continue gravel mining operations on the property.
